We welcome individual donations to support the Scandinavian Christmas Fair. Your donation will contribute to making this year’s event the best one yet. Any proceeds from the event go towards scholarships and to support local Scandinavian initiatives. For an individual donation of $50, you will receive an acknowledgement in the program and 2 entry tickets for the fair. The annual Scandinavian Christmas Fair in Raleigh has become a tremendously popular cultural event, with more than 5,000 visitors each year. Thanks to word of mouth and extensive TV and radio coverage, attendance continues to grow and may even require us to select a different venue for the 2008 event.
The date for 2011 is already set for December 3rd from 10am to 6 pm.
(Just like last year, the event will take place in the Holshouser Building at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds). The Julmarknad (Christmas Fair in Swedish) is presented by SWEA, the Swedish Women’s Educational Association, and Vasa, a Swedish-American cultural organization.
At the Fair, Swea and Vasa members and affiliates celebrate traditional holiday customs from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland, Visitors enjoy the sights and sounds of candlelit St. Lucia processions, Scandinavian folk dancing, live music, Pippi Longstocking and other storybook characters, cultural demonstrations and homemade Scandinavian food. A large array of imported gifts, crafts and other items are also for sale.
Consider joining other Scandinavian and American businesses and organizations in a successful partnership to spread knowledge about Scandinavia and its cultures. A limited number of tables are available for companies to promote their products and services while supporting this annual event. The Fair is a unique opportunity to meet many North Carolina-based Scandinavians and their American friends and families in a relaxed atmosphere. Even if you cannot attend the fair, your organization can still be represented by advertising in the program, on the Web site and on signs at the Christmas Fair.
All sponsors are granted space for a company name and logo on www.scanfair.org and a link to their own Web site on request.

Required specs: Logos and graphics must be submitted as .pdf, .jpg, .tiff or .eps files with a minimum resolution of 300 dots per inch, or they will appear pixellated, i.e. "fuzzy" in print. Please note that any logos or images taken from the Web are almost always only 72 dots per inch, a resolution that looks fine on-screen, but reproduces very poorly in print. For assistance, please consult with your graphic designer/publicity firm, and do not hesitate to contact the Scandinavian Christmas Fair sponsorship coordinator with any questions.
